About Us

What is Dramatherapy

Dramatherapy is the intentional and systematic use of drama and theatre processes to achieve healthy psychological growth and change. It can be hard for our children to understand big emotions and talk about their feelings. Some life experiences and emotional wounds are too painful or confusing to express in words. Dramatherapist finds the best way to work through these issues by playing with it or act it out. When we explore an issue creatively, we can begin to look at it from another point of view. Dramatherapy is a form of psychological therapy that uses creative approaches to explore life's challenges through drama ,storytelling and other creative art therapies.

Hello! I'm

Ciara O'Sullivan

I’m lucky to have had the opportunity to build a career by doing what I love. I have worked extensively as a theatre practitioner in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Passionate about the power of arts within the healing process and mental health, I completed my masters in Dramatherapy at Maynooth University, Ireland in 2018. Registered with the Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapists, I have worked with indigenous communities, Autism Spectrum Disorder Units, Primary and Secondary schools, and day services for Adults with intellectual and physical disabilities.

I am very passionate about human development, transformation, growth and the importance of play from birth onwards.
